Project XL-BEAST
Project XL-Beast is a 95 1500 Z71 pickup that has been through many stages, In its older days It was a Mall Krawler Lifted Big on Big Tires, Specs and Pics of it Back then are below. Nowadays it serves as a Tow rig, Converted to a 1500 HD, the frame was rebuilt/boxed in the rear with 1/4" thick plate and a tube crossmember system that ties into the hitch. The suspension was lowered back down to about 5" of lift and the rear Leaf packs rebuilt to greater than 3/4 ton specs. Trailer braking system was installed and to finish all off a new rear axle was swapped in. The rear now holds a AAM 11.5" 35 spline 14 bolt from a 2001 2500HD It is geared to 4.88's to match the front and has a limited slip and disk brakes. Since the rear axle is 8 lug, new 6 to 8 lug adaptors were installed on the front to match. It now runs 36x12. 5 Hummer H1 tires. Don't have any pics of it yet with the new rear axle or the H1's here are a few pics of it towing b4 the 1500HD conversion was done.
Here it is in it's old Mall Krawlin Stage, one of these days were gonna turn it back into one and jack it ridiculously high back in the air and sit it on some 52" michelins or 54" boggers or something . . . .
